Originally from New York City, Mx. Nikki has always been drawn to working with young people and supporting families; their earliest roles included looking after younger neighbors and cousins and volunteering in church daycares and coordinating afterschool programs at the library during high school. Over time, they transitioned into professional settings, gaining experience across a wide range of environments (from private ABA preschools to large corporate daycares and everything in between). These diverse experiences helped them understand how children learn, communicate, and build relationships in many different contexts.

As both an educator and a parent to a 4 year old, Mx. Nikki believes deeply in creating calm, nurturing, and engaging environments where children feel safe, valued, and curious. Their approach is shaped by their education in human services and wildlife biology; they center social-emotional learning, child-led exploration, and meaningful connections with the natural world. Supporting children as they develop confidence, independence, and emotional awareness is at the heart of their work.

Outside the classroom, Mx. Nikki loves going to concerts, camping and hiking around Colorado, and spending cozy time at home with their family and cats. They have to try every art or craft at least once and enjoy exploring creative outlets of all kinds. They value community, creativity, and shared connection; these same values guide their passion for advocating for equity and ensuring that all children and families feel welcomed, respected, and included.
