Mikayla will be co-teaching with Paige Peters this year in the Brown Bears 2 classroom. Her background is in elementary education, where she taught a mixture of kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade at a Jeffco Public School.

Mikayla and her husband, Dave, have Jane, a current student at CWS, and will soon get to add a baby brother to the fun in February 2026! Mikayla has loved the privilege of getting to work at CWS alongside Paige in a job-share position, while also having opportunities to be home while her babies are young. CWS has been a place where Mikayla has been able to continue to grow and find purpose as an educator and a mom.

In her free time, Mikayla loves to read and spend quality time with friends. Mikayla and her family also love to find new places to enjoy tasty food and drinks!
